Chris

Chris majored in Cyber Security at the University of Texas at San Antonio and his career aspirations took a large turn while he was sitting in an airport coming back to Chicago for a winter break. Chris thought to himself that it would be so cool to learn how to fly large jets and immediately signed up for a discovery flight at Skill. He absolutely enjoyed it! Since then, he completed all his training at the flight school while completing his degree and later while working as a Cyber Security Analyst for Deloitte. Chris has not regretted his decision in the least bit. In fact, for a year alongside his commercial and multi-engine training, he even got to work with a “Big Three” airlines cyber team which was the perfect transition. He later finished up his training and joined the Skill Team in July and is loving sharing his passion of flying with others. Recently, he earned his CFII and cannot wait to begin teaching instrument flying!

Chris plans to continue to further his training and knowledge base by obtaining his MEI and ultimately work for United Airlines one day, travel internationally and fly wide-bodies to different countries all around the world. One day, he may even earn his helicopter license and also become a DPE.

While away from the airport, Chris enjoys staying active by working out, boxing, running and competing in other sports with friends, playing piano, and reading.
