ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Chris Johnson is an Air Force Veteran, instructor pilot, and drone expert with a PhD in Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He pioneered aviation research and education at UW by building a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Center of Excellence for aviation research as well as UW's growing flight-training program.  Dr. Johnson recently built drone programs for the UW and a Fortune-500 insurance company, and he founded PilotTrainingSystem.com to grow aviation. Dr. Johnson is an FAA Safety Team Lead Representative, and he is the Founding President of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Advisory Board, which is a public-private organization of UAS experts serving as a unified voice for advocacy, networking, education, and outreach in support of UAS.
